I'm going to play,
I will not stay inside today.
The sun is out, the sky is blue,
Playing is what I will do.
Running, skipping, shout hooray,
That is how I like to play.
Sitting inside is for rain or snow,
Outside is where I will go!
Swinging in the maple trees,
Running in the morning breeze.
Awaiting the moon to rise,
all lay at rest and shut their eyes.
Before we do, we shall play,
For I will not stay inside today!
