My grandpas birthday was a couple days ago, so I dedicated this poem to him!
Grandpa you’re the greatest,
There is nothing you can’t do!
The things that we can’t you can,
Even though your 72.
Your age is not a worry,
It’s more wisdom with each day.
I hope this birthday poem.
Makes you happy in every way.
You’re charming and sweet,
Such a great person to have around!
Each moment with you is better,
I have always found!
Don’t take this day to hard,
Just look at it like this.
With each year that your older,
Adds more to your greatness!
You’re Truly Special To Me
You’ve loved your kids and grandkids, too;
Your heart is so tender and kind.
I remember the time you used to say you knew a monkey,” It is you!”
I also remember sitting on a tractor and think it would drive off with me behind!
Your unselfish heart and the joy in your eyes,
Makes me realize how truly special we are.
I love you grandpa, and hope this is a delightful surprise.
Just like that homemade cigar!
I wish you my love and for you to know,
I love you more than the world could show!
Grandfather
Take a break,
Be set at ease.
Close your ears,
To all who tease!
My memories with you,
Are truly fond!
I am so thankful,
For the time we’ve had to bond.
You are there to help,
All in need,
Your footsteps,
Are my life’s lead.
I wish you happiness,
Through the years,
Your smile and laughter,
Fill me with joyful tears!
This poem is just for you,
Happy Birthday Grandpa,
I love you!

Pies
Mama in the kitchen,
Kneading the dough.
Her face and apron full of flour,
Her hands mixing and pulling like so.
Fruit fillings being made of,
Blueberry, peach, apple and plum.
The filling covers the golden crust,
I just smell the aromas and say,” Oh yum!”
Grandpas waiting patiently for a slice!
Mama peels the layers on top, like grandma used to do!
The heat of the fire, quickly browns the coat,
After it cools we all get a bite of the delicious goo!

Full of Power
Once upon the daylight hour,
I myself sitting, full of power.
Watching all whom dream, from my tower.
Myself waiting that which cower.
As I sat there in the daylight hour.
Three visitors came; a river, a tree and a flower.
I listened and heard the dreams of each cower.
Most interesting was that of the flower.
The tree wished to be taken and dressed in flour.
And hold the delicacy that would soon be to devour.
I picked up my stick of power,
“You are the now to be a table at the bakery of Tom Hower.”
The river wished to move and spray, once a nightly hour.
I said, “You are to be a boiling shower.”
Last, but not least in that daylight hour, came the dream of the flower.
She wished to live in the home of a kind plower.
To sit in the suns rays and get a cool shower,
Yet smell baked bread in the morn covered with flour!
I said your dream has come true, “You are a sweet flower!”

Daddy Is Always Watching
Holding my dear child,
Close to my chest,
We’re holding strong to her hand,
As she takes her first steps.
Her first day of Kindergarten,
Such a day for her.
Though papa cried,
He’ll be all right.
My baby’s growing up,
Daddy’s watching HER.
Oh baby girl!
Its 2:30 in the morning,
She just got home,
Her hair is pink,
Don’t know where she’ll roam!
Teaching her to drive,
Trying to stay calm.
My baby’s growing up,
Daddy’s watching HER.
Oh baby girl!
She just graduated,
Threw up her hat.
She’s moving on,
To find a home to own.
Our hearts are aching, as she kisses us good-bye,
Our bird just left the nest and is learning to fly.
My baby’s growing up,
Daddy’s watching HER.
Oh baby girl!
Walking down the aisle holding hand in hand,
Her dress gleaming walks to her man.
Two boys and a baby girl,
Her house getting full.
Taking in a new job,
Her husbands leaving town.
My baby’s growing up,
Daddy’s watching HER.
Oh baby girl!
Hoped to hold her once more,
Before I shut my eyes.
Life is a highway don’t know where it ends,
The golden arches are opening again.
Its time for me to go, to rest away,
It’s okay!
My baby’s growing up,
Daddy’s still watching HER.
Oh baby girl!
Keep your head up high,
Bloom up with your eyes open.
Live your life happily,
Before it fades away!
Take new roads,
Live up to all your dreams,
My baby’s growing up,
Daddy’s still watching HER.
Oh baby girl!
Close to my chest,
We’re holding strong to her hand,
As she takes her first steps.

The Wind
I was inside the bushes,
I was inside the trees.
I blew beside the houses,
I swayed in the alleys.
My body was following,
Though no one seems to see!
I am everywhere you strive to be,
I come in cool and go out hot,
I am each breath and cool breeze,
Inside the body or a pot.
Night and Day you live with me,
But never seem to see.
Tree leaves twisting,
Prairies curling.
Hot steam,
Tornadoes whirling.
I shake and move what you can see,
But only look at them not me!
Don’t waste my breaths,
Don’t waste the air.
I am inside you,
I am everywhere!
So take the time to see my actions,
Prove to me you really care!
I was inside the trees.
I blew beside the houses,
I swayed in the alleys.
My body was following,
Though no one seems to see!
I am everywhere you strive to be,
I come in cool and go out hot,
I am each breath and cool breeze,
Inside the body or a pot.
Night and Day you live with me,
But never seem to see.
Tree leaves twisting,

But only look at them not me!
Don’t waste my breaths,
Don’t waste the air.
I am inside you,
I am everywhere!
So take the time to see my actions,
Prove to me you really care!

Mother Nature
Lightning strikes throughout her hair,
She decorated the Earth that we share.
Her emotions flood all over town,
Disasters occur if she doesn’t calm down.
When her tears fall, we feel the rain.
Our souls are taken through all of her pain.
Tornadoes, lightning, mud slides and hail,
Powerful storms formed by each powerful wail.
When she’s happy and calm,
The sun brightly shines from her left palm.
Rainbows and stars line her chest,
Then birds sing their songs as they fly from the nest!
When she is calm and at rest,
Her nature land is at its best.
We feel settle and happy too,
